Improve XP Performance, The Easy Way!

“Is there an easy way to improve XP performance?”

This is a question I kept asking myself over and over again, just a few months ago. Until one day I decided I would stop being a victim of my slow PC, and I would find a way to improve its performance. After doing some research I came across some simple tricks that turn out to be quite useful. If you’re having similar problems, I hope this can help.

1) Format computer hard drive and reinstall windows XP. This is definitely the best solution you could hope for, but it has its drawbacks. For example, you will either have to know how it’s done or pay someone to do it. Asides from that, formatting a hard drive is always a hassle because you’ll have to backup all your files… and unless you’re good with computers, chances are you don’t even know exactly where in the hard drive your files are located.

2) Improve XP performance by uninstalling programs. This solution is kind of a middle ground; in one hand, it won’t take much technical knowledge… you just have to select the programs you don’t use and uninstall them, that will relief the burden your PC has to carry each day. However, despite being reasonably easy this solution isn’t completely efficient; for once you may end up uninstalling programs that you will eventually have to use for unexpected reasons. Besides, just uninstalling programs isn’t enough since that’s essentially doing a very superficial cleaning.

3) Get a registry cleaner software. For the novice computer users, this is probably the best alternative. You see, the Windows XP registry is used to keep track of everything that goes on in your computer, and it tends to get cluttered up after a while. Since the kind people at Microsoft haven’t thought of a way to allow the registry to clean itself, you’ll have to use a special piece of software to attend this purpose. That software is called a registry cleanre, and it does just that: it goes over the internal records on the operating systems, and reorganizes all the information without having to wipe anything out.

Think of it this way: a registry clear is kind of like your computer’s own personal maid, which runs around in the background cleaning and organizing everything; that’s so your computer can use all its attention and resources to do what it’s supposed to do: working for you, with speed and efficiency. If you want to improve XP performance, it may just be your best shot!
